Here’s a review for our Chalet……

My family rented the chalet and 3 cabins for a weekend in June. I have separate review of cabins under cabin #2. The chalet was perfect. Everything you need. Nothing you don’t. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. All of those are great. TVs in living room and 2 of the bedrooms. Upstairs has soaking tub. Upstairs bedroom is spacious with a separate door to the outside. Kitchen fully outfitted. Plenty of towels. Sheets provided. Air conditioner and ceiling fans came in handy (it was 90 when we were there). Super close to so many things but still feels secluded. Chrissy was perfect host. A+ on communication and responsiveness. Easy checkin and checkout (code provided for entry). Only surprise was that we didn’t realize chalet was not visible from cabins. It is about a 5-7 minute walk. We felt far removed from those in cabins. Those who stayed in cabins were right with each other the whole time. It turned out that Chalet being separate was a fun thing. My city kids loved being able walk down to cabins on their own without parents. And we found it nice giving them that independence that they don’t have in the city!

The cabin was perfect for me, my husband and another couple for the weekend. It was an easy drive to Ommegang & Cooperstown, and we loved being tucked into the woods and listening to the frogs as we fell asleep. The beds were comfortable and the cabin had everything we needed & nothing we didn’t. Plates, cups, mugs & utensils were provided as well as a coffee maker. The screened in porch was great to end the night on with a couple beers. Excellent host! Chrissy was very responsive and helpful. We will definitely be back.

We rented this cabin for a trip to visit family for a long weekend. The place was perfect for us, a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids – 6 & 8). The cabin was very clean and well maintained. My wife even mentioned that the sheets smelled good and freshly washed. It was well stocked with anything you might need… towels, soap, dishes, utensils, pots, pans, etc… Chrissy was very friendly and she promptly answered any questions we had. We look forward to staying here again on our next visit!

Wanted to share some of the great reviews we’re getting from our first year being open!  I can’t thank everyone enough for the kind words and believing in us.  Here’s one from Cabin#1….

My husband and I got tickets for a concert at Brewery Ommegang, and Chrissy’s cabin was not only the closest option I found, but also the most reasonably priced. We loved staying in the “tiny house” in the woods, surrounded by trees. It was like a grown-up tree house with air conditioning and plumbing 🙂 While the cabin was close to a variety of things to do, it was also super private. You weren’t right on top of the other cabins, either, which was nice. We really enjoyed the fire pit, and we used it both nights we were there. The screened-in porch was also lovely; you could be outside, but away from the bugs. Chrissy was great with communication and super accommodating when friends of ours decided to join us a week before our stay. The loft was a little tight for a second couple, but I think kids would love it. Our friends said they’d just book their own cabin next time because they also loved the location. We didn’t cook or watch TV while we were there, but if we had stayed longer, the full kitchen would have come in handy. But we did use the refrigerator to keep drinks cold. My husband (6’1″) was a bit tall for the shower, but he commented on the great water pressure, which is rare for a cabin. Overall, we decided two things after our stay: (1) When we come back, we’ll encourage our friends and family to do the same so we could book all three cabins at once and (2) We want to build our own tiny house cabin as an awesome vacation spot. Until then, we’ll come back to Chrissy’s place!
